One thing I haven't seen in the rules is about kickoff returns that absolutely take advantage of the AI. When you run slightly away from the side you are going to, to draw the coverage team inside and then cut back and run sideways/backward and if all goes as planned you have a clear path to the endzone. I find it cheap whenever it happens so I do not do it but rather I still try to get outside but I only run to the side I am going and do not cut back to get the defenders engaged with blockers. It is fairly common to see so I was wondering what everyone thought.

I don't think that is really taking advantage of the AI, you are just leading the defenders to your blockers. Never works for me but meh. I just mostly run straight forward and try a spin then go down.

My personal opinion is that it doesn't work often enough to be considered an exploit, plus it does somewhat mirror what happens irl from time to time. I'm ok with it.

You can see if its gonna work by watching ur outermost blocker. If he blocks the outermost guy coming down field u will bust it off to at least mid field.
If he doesn't you'll just get stuffed. Biggest way to stop it is to take control of an outside player and contain the runner to the middle. Then switch to a player on the inside and try to get thru the blockers to stop him from going too far up the middle.

It's not an exploit. If it's being done on every return maybe. I have the fastest most agile WR in madden and I only get one every 5 games. And that's just common sense strategy used since I started playing madden

Alright, just making sure that it is not considered cheese. I suppose that you should be able to stop them from scoring a TD if you control someone on the outside.

My strategy for KR defense is to rake a middle defender and push him to the relevant side. If I dot rackletge returner I Atleast steer him into someone else

Yea its pretty rare to bust a TD going up the middle unless u get some really lucky pancake blocks. So i usually just plug the sides from a middle defender and choke em in between the hash marks.
